Hij heeft deze studies met verscheidene vakken uit psychiatrie, antropologie, geschiedenis en wijsbegeerte aangevuld .

Omdat ik professionalisme hoog in het vaandel draag, neem ik regelmatig deel aan bijscholingen en ben ik actief binnen verschillende studie- en intervisiegroepen. Daarbij gaat mijn interesse in het bijzonder uit naar psychotrauma, culturele en juridische aspecten binnen de verschillende psychologische disciplines en oorlogsslachtoffers.

Ik ben lid van de Vlaamse Vereniging voor Psychoanalytische Psychotherapie (VVPT), de Nederlandstalige Vereniging voor Psychotrauma (NTVP), European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ESTSS), International Society of Psychology of Religion (IAPR), Vlaamse Verenigng voor Klinische Psychologen (VVKP), BAPS, BPC, Belgische federatie van Psychologen (BFP) en ben erkend psycholoog door de Belgische Psychologencommissie.

Naast psychotherapie geef ik ook regelmatig bijscholingen en lezingen omtrent psychotherapie, psychoanalyse, slaaptraing, trauma, therapie en oorlog, religie, rituelen, kunst en antropologie. Ik schrijf recensies en ben actief (geweest) binnen organisaties zoals o.a. de diensten Internationale Samenwerking en Tracing van het Rode Kruis - Vlaanderen en KVG.

Ik werk uitsluitend in mijn privépraktijk maar heb op aanvraag ook consultaties in Herent (GC Alpe) en in Heverlee (De Groeipraktijk). Daarnaast werk ik regelmatig samen met instellingen zoals Oostrem (Herent), Sociale Huizen (OCMW's ), Wijkgezondheidscentra (Leuven en Antwerpen) MCH Leuven, CGG's, Vormingplus, KU Leuven, VSPVU (Amsterdam) en scholen.

My name is Tim Peeters and I am a full licensed and trained psychologist (KU Leuven) and psychotherapist (KU Leuven), based in Leuven, Rotselaar and Herent, Belgium.

I have an independent private general psychological practice (PC Extimacy in Rotselaar), in which I treat identity and emotional problems, trauma, victims of war and of incest, work and stress related problems, and relationship problems. I also treat psychiatric problems. The treatment approach depends on the problem presented and are tailored for each individual's or couple's needs. I also worked as a psychologist in a private Healthcare clinic in Herent (GC Alpe) and Heverlee (De Groeipraktijk).

I am a member of Vlaamse Vereniging voor Psychoanalytische Psychotherapie (VVPT), Nederlandstalige Verenging voor Psychotrauma (NTVP), European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ESTSS), International Society of Psychology of Religion (IAPR), Belgian Federation of Psychoologists(BFP) and I am a recognised psychologist at the Belgische Psychologencommissie.
